General Hospital News: Jeff Kober ist bereit für die Rückkehr als Cyrus Renault – Comeback bei GH wird immer wahrscheinlicher!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap alum recently hinted that he’d be willing to return to the show under the right circumstances.

There’s one thing in particular that would draw Jeff Kober back to the role of Cyrus Renault if given the opportunity.

It turns out Genie Francis (Laura Collins) is the key to making Kober want to show back up on set.

In an interview with People, Jeff Kober had nothing but good things to say about Francis and how much he’d enjoy the chance to perform with her again.

“I love to work and I would do anything with Genie. She’s a great actress and a great scene partner.

She’s someone who’ll go anywhere you want to go with them,” Kober said.

That’s why if the show were to offer Kober another chance to come play in scenes with Genie Francis, he’d be interested in reprising the part.

Let’s look at what Kober had to say about his potential return.

“So, if they bring me back and let me work with her, I wouldn’t mind making the drive over to Prospect Studios,” Kober admitted.

GH fans will recall that Cyrus met a grim fate after his showdown with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) took a deadly turn.

The character was killed off, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of Cyrus coming back.

In fact, Kober already returned as Cyrus for Laura’s nightmare back in December 2025.

Cyrus could easily pop up again for another dream, a haunting or some other fantasy sequence.

Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is deceased too, but he’s been featured quite a bit lately in Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) visions.

Cyrus could perhaps be used in a similar way somewhere down the line.

As long as Genie Francis is involved, it doesn’t seem like Cyrus cares too much about the story details.

Kober has found plenty of success outside of soaps, including through his work on The Pitt, but it certainly sounds like he’d still be willing to make a GH comeback.

Since Kober is nominated for a Primetime Emmy and a Daytime Emmy, that makes him the first actor to score noms for both in the same year.

Of course, no one can rule out the idea of Cyrus somehow getting resurrected if Kober slides back in the role.

Soaps are known for wild back-from-the-dead stories, so anything is possible in Port Charles!
