GH Tuesday, September 8, 2026 || ABC General Hospital 9-8-2026 Spoilers
Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital promises to throw Port Charles straight back into chaos following Monday’s special encore presentation honoring Luke Spencer.
Episode #16040 picks up several explosive cliffhangers from Friday, September 4, with Britt Westbourne staring down the barrel of Anna Devane’s gun, Trina Robinson demanding the truth from Brook Lynn, and Drew Cain once again allowing his rage to dictate his next move.
And this time, one wrong decision could change several families forever.

Jason Reaches Britt — But Can He Stop Anna?
The most dangerous confrontation unfolds at Mount Emerson.
Anna has lured Britt there under the pretense of having information about Cassius. Instead, Britt walks directly into a trap. Anna, still struggling psychologically with everything she endured, has become convinced that Britt and Cassius are connected to the horrors inflicted upon her.
By Friday’s cliffhanger, Anna had a gun pointed directly at Britt.
Jason, meanwhile, learned from Tristan that Britt had gone to Mount Emerson. After contacting Sonny and discovering Anna’s connection to the property, Jason raced there.
Tuesday’s official teaser confirms that Britt’s life is on the line while Jason makes a desperate plea.
This won’t be the Jason Morgan who usually solves problems with intimidation or force. He knows Anna. He understands trauma. More importantly, he realizes she isn’t thinking clearly.
Jason must somehow convince Anna to lower the weapon before a terrible mistake becomes irreversible.
Soap Opera Digest confirms the confrontation, noting that Jason desperately attempts to intervene while Anna holds Britt at gunpoint.
The question isn’t whether Jason can physically protect Britt.
It’s whether he can still reach Anna Devane.
Trina Demands the Truth From Brook Lynn
Across town, another confrontation is exploding inside the Quartermaine mansion.
Trina overheard Chase confronting Brook Lynn about the night of Jordan and Curtis’s accident. Chase’s investigation has increasingly pointed toward Brook Lynn’s vehicle being connected to what happened on Route 91.
Now Trina wants answers.
Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that Trina will press Brook Lynn about whether she was the driver who left the accident scene. Brook Lynn is expected to admit that she drove away without realizing an accident had occurred at the time. The more painful issue is that after she later began believing she might have been responsible, she remained silent.
For Trina, that silence carries devastating consequences.
Curtis became convinced Isaiah was responsible. That belief helped fuel a chain of events that ultimately landed Curtis in prison.
SoapHub emphasizes that Brook Lynn herself still isn’t definitively confirmed as the other driver — she believes she was — making the truth potentially more complicated than it first appears.
But Trina isn’t interested in technicalities.
She’s furious.
And with Jordan, Gio, Tracy and other Quartermaines caught in the fallout, Brook Lynn’s secret could tear through far more than one relationship.
Drew Explodes Over Scout
Meanwhile, Drew’s increasingly volatile behavior takes another turn.
Scout and Rocco spent time together at the Quartermaine boathouse, where their friendship crossed an important threshold with a first kiss. Before that, however, Scout had been at Sonny’s house — something Drew discovered through her phone location.
That was enough to send him into a rage.
Drew arrived at Sonny’s demanding to see his daughter, unaware that Scout had already left.
Tuesday brings the fallout.
The official spoilers state simply that Drew lashes out, while Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that he threatens further action and later discusses calling the sheriff, despite Ava urging him not to go that far.
Ava has an especially compelling reason to keep Drew away from law enforcement.
The two are already hiding something far darker.
Jack Brennan’s body.
Outback Is Digging Up Drew and Ava’s Nightmare
Drew and Ava buried Brennan after moving his corpse from the Metro Court pool. Unfortunately for them, their hastily chosen grave may not remain secret much longer.
Outback has already discovered the burial area.
The dog returned to it at the end of Friday’s episode and started digging again.
Celeb Dirty Laundry specifically raises the possibility that someone could follow Outback and discover what is underneath the disturbed earth. The outlet does not, however, confirm that Brennan’s body will actually be uncovered during Tuesday’s episode.
That distinction matters.
For now, what is confirmed is that Drew and Ava’s cover-up is becoming dangerously fragile.
And the irony is delicious: while Drew wants to involve the authorities in his battle over Scout, Ava knows that bringing law enforcement anywhere near their lives could expose a secret capable of destroying them both.
Portia and Isaiah Are Blindsided
The final official Tuesday teaser says Portia and Isaiah are caught off guard.
SoapHub suggests this could connect directly to the Brook Lynn revelation. If Brook Lynn’s role in the Route 91 mystery becomes public, Isaiah could finally receive some vindication after Curtis wrongly focused his anger on him.
But the official preview deliberately leaves their surprise unspecified.
That mystery gives Tuesday’s episode one more fuse waiting to burn.
Britt has a gun pointed at her.
Jason is racing against time.
Trina wants the truth.
Drew is spiraling.
Outback is digging.
And somewhere beneath the ground lies the secret Drew and Ava desperately need Port Charles never to find.
September 8 won’t simply pick up where GH left off — it could be the episode where several carefully buried truths finally begin clawing their way back to the surface.
