General Hospital Spoilers: Val Tracks The Suspect, And Brennan’s Attacker Is Finally Revealed?

Port Charles has survived mob wars, secret identities, and more Cassadine conspiracies than anyone can count, but the mystery surrounding Jack Brennan’s death may be about to become one of General Hospital’s most dangerous investigations yet.

With Brennan gone, his body secretly buried, and the WSB beginning to smell foul play, Valentin Cassadine may soon find himself following a trail that leads straight toward the people who desperately need the truth to stay underground.

Brennan’s final hours were anything but ordinary.

Ava Jerome reluctantly agreed to help Drew Cain neutralize the WSB chief long enough for Drew to search Brennan’s Metro Court room. Drew had a powerful motive: Brennan possessed evidence concerning Drew’s alleged misuse of federal funds connected to his Congressional campaign. To create the necessary distraction, Ava slipped a sleeping pill into Brennan’s drink.

But the scheme spiraled catastrophically out of control.

Brennan later ended up in the Metro Court pool, where Danny Morgan and Charlotte Cassadine discovered his apparently lifeless body. Instead of reporting what they had seen, the frightened teenagers fled — with Charlotte unknowingly leaving behind a bracelet that became tangled with Brennan’s clothing.

Then came the truly chilling twist.

Ava and Drew found Brennan and realized that his death could destroy them both. Rather than contacting authorities, they removed his body, transported it away from the hotel and buried him on former Quartermaine property that had become a nature preserve. Their attempt to erase the night may instead have created an enormous trail of evidence.

Meanwhile, Josslyn Jacks knows something is terribly wrong.

After Brennan vanished, Josslyn contacted the WSB and met with official William Baines. She acknowledged that the available evidence suggested foul play was possible. Brennan wasn’t simply Josslyn’s boss — he was the man who recruited her into the shadowy world of international intelligence. His disappearance therefore carries both professional and deeply personal consequences for her.

And that is where Valentin Cassadine becomes especially interesting.

While Carly Spencer struggles to understand Brennan’s disappearance, Valentin has already considered another possibility: What if Brennan engineered the entire situation himself?

It is exactly the kind of conclusion a former spy would consider. Brennan had enemies everywhere, and disappearing voluntarily would hardly be impossible for a man with his resources. Yet as more evidence emerges, Valentin may be forced to abandon that theory.

Someone searched Brennan’s hotel room. The Metro Court security system was deliberately compromised. Brennan disappeared during the same narrow window. Those coincidences could eventually point investigators toward Drew’s secret operation.

But there remains one enormous question: Did Ava’s drug actually kill Brennan?

That has not been established.

A sleeping pill clearly left Brennan disoriented, but his presence in the pool opens the door to a much darker possibility — that someone encountered the vulnerable WSB chief and deliberately finished the job. Celeb Dirty Laundry has also raised several possible suspects, including figures connected to Brennan’s WSB conflicts and other enemies operating in Port Charles.

If an autopsy eventually shows that Brennan was attacked before drowning, everything changes.

Ava becomes the woman who drugged a murder victim. Drew becomes the man who ordered the drugging and then helped conceal the corpse. Neither necessarily has to be Brennan’s actual killer — yet both have behaved exactly like guilty people.

That distinction could become the heart of the mystery.

Valentin knows Brennan’s world better than almost anyone in Port Charles. If he begins reconstructing Brennan’s final movements, he could uncover something Carly, Josslyn and even the police have missed. And once Valentin realizes Brennan didn’t simply disappear, the former Cassadine mastermind may become one of the most dangerous men imaginable for the real killer to have on their trail.

Ava and Drew believe they buried their problem.

They may have buried the evidence of someone else’s murder instead.

And if Brennan’s true attacker is still walking freely through Port Charles, the biggest shock may not be discovering who wanted Jack Brennan dead — but realizing that Ava and Drew have unknowingly been protecting the killer all along.
