‘Sister Wives’ Star Janelle Brown and Her Boyfriend Move In Together at Her Home — Christine Brown’s Shocking Reaction!
Janelle Brown’s life after Kody Brown is beginning to look very different from anything Sister Wives viewers once imagined — and her former sister wife Christine Brown appears to be firmly in her corner.
After years of insisting that another serious romance was hardly a priority, Janelle stunned fans in August when she finally introduced the man who had quietly entered her life. His name is Pete, and judging by Janelle’s recent updates, this is far more than a casual post-divorce flirtation.
Janelle publicly introduced Pete on August 18, revealing that their relationship had been developing away from the cameras and social media spotlight. The announcement was particularly surprising because Janelle had previously made it clear that she wasn’t actively searching for another husband — or even particularly interested in dating.
Yet Pete apparently changed that.
“I wasn’t looking. I certainly wasn’t expecting you,” Janelle wrote when introducing him, describing their relationship as something that had become “pretty wonderful.”
For a woman whose nearly three-decade spiritual marriage ended amid painful disagreements with Kody, those words carried enormous weight. Janelle separated from Kody in 2022 and eventually obtained a spiritual release from their church, declaring herself finally free from the marriage that had defined much of her adult life.

A New Life in North Carolina
The romance also arrives as Janelle establishes permanent roots in North Carolina.
After leaving Kody, she relocated to be closer to daughter Madison Brush and her grandchildren and has since worked toward creating the home and lifestyle she wanted for herself. TLC recently noted that Janelle has built her dream home there — making this new relationship feel like another piece of an entirely reconstructed life.
Pete has increasingly appeared to fit comfortably into that new chapter. Janelle recently shared another glimpse of the couple enjoying a date together, just days after their relationship became public.
Rather than hiding him after the initial announcement, Janelle seems increasingly comfortable allowing fans to see their connection.
But perhaps the most telling reaction has come from Christine.
Christine Brown Makes Her Feelings About Pete Crystal Clear
Anyone expecting tension, jealousy or awkwardness between the former sister wives received almost the exact opposite.
Christine enthusiastically welcomed Pete.
“He’s such an awesome guy!! They are so cute together,” Christine wrote in response to Janelle’s relationship announcement.
Then came another revealing detail.
Christine disclosed that Pete works in construction — the same industry as her husband, David Woolley. “And he’s a construction worker like David!!” she added.
It was a small comment, but one that immediately caught fans’ attention.
Christine wasn’t reacting like someone who had just discovered her friend’s mysterious new boyfriend through Instagram. Her warm endorsement suggested familiarity with Pete and, more importantly, genuine approval of the man Janelle has chosen.
The irony is difficult to ignore.
Christine was the first of Kody’s wives to leave their plural marriage, announcing their split in 2021. She subsequently fell in love with David and married him in October 2023.
Janelle followed a very different path.
For years, she appeared content being independent. In February 2025, she even admitted that she wasn’t particularly interested in getting married or dating again. Now the two women who once shared the same husband have each found relationships outside the Brown family’s former plural marriage.
And their new partners already have something in common.
The Brown Family Has Entered an Entirely New Era
Perhaps that is what makes Janelle and Pete’s relationship so significant.
This isn’t simply another Sister Wives romance.
It represents how completely the Brown family has transformed.
Christine has David. Janelle now has Pete. Meri has been exploring life and relationships on her own terms. Meanwhile, Kody remains married to Robyn Brown, the only one of his four marriages still intact.
The enormous plural family viewers met when Sister Wives premiered has effectively become several separate families building independent futures.
For Janelle, that future now includes a man she admits she never expected to find.
And Christine’s enthusiastic response may be the strongest sign yet that Pete isn’t merely being tolerated by Janelle’s inner circle — he’s being welcomed into it.
After everything Christine and Janelle survived together, there is something almost poetic about the situation.
They once navigated the complications of loving the same man.
Now they can finally cheer each other on while discovering what love looks like when neither woman has to share.
